Take Back The Night

This year's TBTN was amazing. Chief Executive Paul Babb, Officer Dan Murphy from the Butte Police Department, Rose Brock with TAPS (Taking Action through Peaceful Solutions), and Danielle Wozniak from U of M in Missoula all spoke. Some very great and powerful stories were shared at the speak out against domestic violence and sexual assault, and the Clothesline Project seemed to be a powerful reminder of the violence that is seen in Butte, MT.

Hopefully you had a chance to stop by and enjoy all that this year's event had to offer!

Safe Space would like to thank the amazing staff, volunteers, and community members who continually make this event spectacular. Another huge thank you must be given to all those community organizations that assist in making Take Back The Night amazing also, those include all who put TBTN posters up in their stores, or on their marquees, to donating products and services for advertising and prizes! Butte is an amazing place with amazing people!

Please make sure to look at the pictures and videos from the night. More will hopefully be posted soon!

Thanks for reading!

Clothesline Project Pictures

The Clothesline Project went over with great success! We had 6 children and 5 women show up and do shirts. Safe Space is going to display the shirts at the Take Back the Night April 24, 2009 at St. John's Church, and hopefully throughout the community during the month of April. Make sure you look closely at the pictures!
